Michael Cammisa


Michael Cammisa is the Vice President for Safety Policy, Connectivity & Technology for the American Trucking Associations (ATA). Prior to joining ATA in December of 2016, Mike spent 16 years at the Association of Global Automakers, most recently as senior director of safety and connected vehicles, working with state and federal officials and automakers to shape the regulatory framework for connected and automated vehicles, as well as other passenger vehicle safety issues. He has served as a member of the Safety Committee of the Transportation Research Board’s Strategic Highway Research Program and on several committees of the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Cammisa holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia, a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University.
